Full Time staff wanted for Family business set in the heart of Topsham!

Chef de Partie (30 hours)

With bags of personality and enthusiasm, your talent is in communicating well and working as part of a team. You will have a passion for delivering outstanding food and memorable customer experiences.

The right person:

  • Has experience working within professional kitchens
  • Has seasonal and local food knowledge
  • Is dynamic, charismatic, with a can-do attitude
  • Strong communication skills

Our Chefs are involved in a range of duties including:

  • Fresh food preparation
  • Embracing our food culture and designing regularly changing menus
  • Setting and reviewing GPs
  • Ordering
  • Stock control
  • Meeting food safety and cleaning standards
  • Working with completely fresh produce, the Chef de partie will be a key member of the kitchen team
  • Salary experienced based.


Part Time Fishmonger

We are a modern fishmongers within The Salutation Inn Restaurant with Rooms. We sell some of the finest fresh fish and seafood from around the South coasts as well as a huge selection of unique deli products so if you’re a foodie then this is the place for you! We focus on quality products and top notch customer service, Our passion for fish has always been here but the idea for our new shop was born in lockdown when Tom and Amelia wanted to continue to provide for the community and support our local fisherman. We are opening in times when sustainability and local produce are even more prevalent in our hearts. Come and see us for a fresh catch, fish cakes, stews, pies, a multitude of condiments, and, of course, Salt.

We are looking for someone who wants to be apart of a business which is a bit more exciting and modern however if you are interested in fresh fish and are keen to learn something new and think you have the ability to learn Jedi knife skills then feel free to apply, you must have previous customer service skills and be able to speak English.

This is a part time role to Assist owner Tom and cover Weekends and Holidays, but NO evenings 🙂 This role is approx 16 – 25 hours
